Round Towers 2014 Boys mentors App · Last updated: April 2026
Who we are
This app is operated by Round Towers 2014 Boys mentors for the exclusive use of registered coaches and club administrators to manage squad training and match-day planning. It is not a public service.
What personal data we collect
For each registered player we store:
- First and last name
- Jersey number
- Playing position(s) and preferred side
- Team group (Greens / Whites)
- Sport (football, hurling, or both)
- Coach notes (e.g. medical or positional notes)
- Attendance at training sessions and match days
- Minutes played per match
We do not collect dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, or photos.
Why we collect it
The data is used solely to:
- Plan team formations and substitutions on match days
- Track attendance at training sessions
- Ensure fair playing time across the squad
- Plan and record training sessions
We do not use player data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose outside of team management.
Who can see the data
- Registered coaches of Round Towers 2014 Boys mentors who have been granted access by a club administrator.
- Club administrators with full access.
- Parents / guardians who have been individually added to the Parent Live View by an administrator. They see a read-only live match score and team sheet (player names and positions) during match days only. This is equivalent to information visible to anyone present on the sideline.
No data is shared with third parties, other clubs, or the public.
Where data is stored
Player data is stored in two places:
- On-device – in your browser's local storage, on the device you use to access the app.
- Firebase / Google Cloud – our cloud database, hosted by Google. Data is stored in Google's European data centres where possible, and is protected by Google's security measures. Firebase is GDPR-compliant. See Firebase Privacy.
How long we keep data
- Player records are kept for as long as the player is registered with the club.
- Match history and attendance records are automatically pruned after 2 years.
- When a player leaves the club, their record should be deleted by an administrator.
Your rights (GDPR)
Parents and guardians of registered players have the right to:
- Access – request a copy of the data held about their child.
- Correction – ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion – ask us to delete their child's data from the app.
- Objection – object to how we use the data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact the club's Data Protection contact at:
derekgrant1981@gmail.com
We will respond within 30 days.
Children's data (GDPR Article 8)
Most players in this app are under 18. We only process children's personal data on the basis of the club membership agreement signed by a parent or guardian at registration. If you have not provided this consent or wish to withdraw it, please contact us using the address above.
Cookies & tracking
This app does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Google Sign-In stores an authentication token in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in. Google Fonts loads font files from Google's servers — this is purely for the app's appearance and no personal data is sent.
The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect basic usage statistics (e.g. which screens coaches visit, session duration). This data is anonymous — no player names or personal data are included. It is used solely to understand how the app is being used and to improve it. Analytics data is processed by Google and subject to Firebase's privacy policy.
Changes to this notice
If we make significant changes to how we handle data, we will update this page and inform coaches via the app. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
